Transferring to ISS - August Update

With the 1st October fast approaching, we are looking forward to you joining us and delivering great services for DWP. Here are a few of updates:
121 Update
We have now completed more than 1200 individual meetings with colleagues transferring to ISS. We have another 800 scheduled and working hard to complete as many as possible.
It may be that we are not able to hold 121s in person with everyone by 1st October so for some colleagues, we will be emailing a questionnaire to complete. It’s important that the questionnaire is filled out and returned so that we can set you up on the ISS systems, process your pay and you can enjoy a smooth transfer to ISS. The questionnaire should take no more than 20 minutes and will require key information such as bank account details and next of kin. We look forward to meeting everyone over the coming months as we visit all DWP sites.

​Collective Consultation Update
We have now had 12 meetings with the ‘employee representatives’ which includes Compass, Mitie and Union representatives. If you have any questions about any potential changes, please ask your employee Rep so that they can raise them in these meetings.

Open, Safe and Compliant on 1st October
The ISS team continues to prepare for Day 1 of the new contract. Our aim is to be ‘open, safe and compliant’ – for everyone to transfer to ISS seamlessly and continue performing their roles as you normally would. We will communicate contact details nearer the time so that everyone can escalate urgent issues we need to deal with.

Essential Training Requirements before 1st October
We are currently confirming dates for essential training sessions that will be required before 1st October – for those that will need to do something different on 1st October. Specific job training has been agreed for the helpdesk, engineering and catering teams. We will also be hosting sessions with transferring Managers to provide an overview of the ‘need to know’ material for Day 1 of the new contract. More information coming soon.

In Other News
James Pepper, the new Key Account Portfolio Director leading the DWP contract is now on board and getting to know all there is to know about the DWP contract to prepare for a successful start on 1st October. James and I will be working closely over the coming year.

Look out for...
​If you currently clock in/out, there will be a new way to do this from 1 October. We will be sending a badge ID number which you will need to clock in/out plus some helpful instructions to your home address in September.
​
About You
The TUPE process and rules of engagement remain in place until you officially transfer to ISS on 1st October so communication is restricted until then. ​We are looking forward to meeting you all properly and working together on the future partnership with DWP.
