Transferring to ISS
You may have heard the recent news that ISS has been awarded the new contract with the Department for Work & Pensions (DWP).

From 1 October, 2025, as part of the DWP Workplace Services Programme, ISS will deliver cleaning, catering, technical services, and workplace experience services to the DWP sites across the UK. If you work in these areas, your job may transfer to ISS under 'TUPE' regulations - your current employer will confirm this with you over the coming months.

​In 2025, we will be hosting 'Town Halls' - these will be sessions across various locations where ISS can meet groups of transferring employees and deliver a presentation about the change. Exact dates for the Town Hall sessions will be published over the coming months. Following the Town Hall sessions, we will be arranging individual appointments with you to discuss what the change means and answer any questions you may have. We will also be sharing all information including monthly updates via this website.

What is TUPE?
TUPE stands for the 'transfer of undertakings (protection of employment)' and applies to employees of businesses in the UK. When a new Service Provider is appointed, all employees who are clearly identified as providing the services being transferred will move to the new organisation with their contractual terms and conditions of employment protected.
